It was a leisurely monday morning. Christopher crawled into my bed as soon as the alarm went off...he was so excited. "Mommy! There's only 5 more days until my birthday! I'm going to need a cake and icing, and I want a giant pile of cheeseburgers, and I want a pinata, and we need more....." The list got quite extensive. And I realized he was absolutely right. We were going to need to go to the store for supplies for the party. And I needed a lot of stuff.
I put out an APB on Facebook asking for someone willing to run me to Wal-mart. My sister called almost immediately, and she came down. She brought us a McDonald's breakfast, and hash browns for the kids.
The hash browns were a big hit, so after 'second breakfast' we took them over to Kidz Depot, then went to Wal-mart. I got a wheelie cart, and I cruised all around the place. I was like a pro, cornering that machine like it was on wheels. Just kidding, frankly, I'm really grateful it beeps when I back up, it let Everyone know I was coming. Still, it was a lot of fun to go shopping. We covered that whole store, in 2 hours, and by the time we were done, I was DUN.
2 hours of shopping was quite enough for me, frankly.
But before my sister helped retrieve my child, she fed me lunch, and took my picture.
Happy 20 weeks to me!
I felt like the day before this picture was taken, my uterus popped up above my belly button, so that now I can really put my hand on it and feel it, I don't have to hunt and find. Unfortunately, it also means I can feel the contractions better from the outside. I have them a lot. But when I do, I rest and drink a lot of water.
I was so grateful that Lisa came and rescued me, we crossed of tons of Chris's requests for his birthday, things Eric would have barely had time to do/hunt for, like his big present... you'll have to wait and see what that one is going to be.
