Taking care of me

335/365

I know, it rarely happens.  But I did a few things for me yesterday.  The kids went back to school, and you could have heard a pin drop it was so quiet.  I  did my nails.  Well, my toenails anyway.  My new wrap is called Tinsel Town, nice and sparkly for December.

And I actually read the book for book club.  I know... Madness!  I haven't read a whole book in ages.  I try, but they do not engage me, and so often they don't,  I cannot finish.  It's hard for me to finish a book when I don't like the main characters.   But this weekend, I started My Life in France by Julia Child.  And I loved her.  And I loved her story.

I could not put it down.
No, really. I couldn't.  It was like reading food porn.  The discussions of food were sounded so amazing, I couldn't stand it.  I want to make Boeuf Bourguignon!   And I hate raw meat.  And I hate cooking things that take more than one pot.  But she made me want to cook.  She makes me want to get in the kitchen.  That is impressive.  One might even say Life Changing.  Imagine, me, losing my nausea at the sight of raw meat.  We'll see if it happens.  I'm intrigued though. I loved the book.  I really couldn't put it down.  I loved this book!
