Cuppa Tay

244/365

Last night, as Eric and I watched a movie before bed, I got the chills. I had a mildly annoying sore throat, plus the back spasm I've been dealing with for days. When I woke up this morning, I was still cold, even though my super awesome heated mattress pad was on. I took my temperature, and Indeed, I had a Fever.
100.8

So Eric woke up moments later, and I told him, the good news is that you can go back to sleep, the bad news is that I have a fever on top of all the other stuff. Dr. C's office didn't open until later, so we had a relaxing morning, but I couldn't sleep, I was too uncomfortable.

Luckily, I had already scheduled an appointment for a new Chiropractor for 11 today. Wow. He popped the upper back right into place, but he was worried about the Mess that is my lumbar region, so I had to get x-rays. But First, I HAD to have an hour deep tissue sports massage. Oh yeah, even feeling crappy, I still felt tons better when I left. She told me to drink lots of water with lemon, but I'd been drinking lots of tea with honey.

My throat still hurt, so I had lunch with Eric and the boys, and off to Dr. C. He took one look in my throat and said, "That is Dis-Gusting" Which is true, I'm growing my own cottage cheese in there, and it hurts everytime I swallow, all the way up to my ears. Ow. So he gave me an antibiotic.

I stopped off at the store for a lemon while grabbing my drugs, and then came home and finished off an entire pot of tea...

Can't help but think of Eliza Doolittle, who wanted nothing more in the world after a long day's work than a Cup of Tea. Me too. I know, I had it easy, I only hauled myself all around town, while Eric dealt with the kids, but when I came home, all I wanted was a Cuppa Tay.

Sorry you are feeling lousy. I hope the antibiotics kick in and make you feel better really soon!

12 hours later, feeling fabulous! Or at least better.
