Oh, There you are Perry

226/365

Today we did a little something wilder; we drove to the Mall. It had been Quite a while since we've been to the mall, but the Disney Store was doing a little craft thing, a "Perry the Platypus Inaction Figure. It does Nothing!" -Straight from one of the episodes of Phineas and Ferb, Chris's favorite TV show. I actually am pretty fond of the show too, I must confess, some of their jokes go right over Chris's head, and have me Cracking Up! Our drive up was hysterical because Chris and Sam were pretend sneezing in the back seat, then Chris started practicing to say Dr. Doofenshmirtz (a character from the show) but it came out all crazy, then we were combining the two, sneezing and Doofenshmirtz, because when Sam pretend sneezes, he says Ah AH AH DOO!
Anyway, Chris met his friend Emily (and the rest of the girls) there, and we hit the Disney Store. The kids had a great time shopping, though shopping got old for the younger generation real fast. God Bless Goldfish Crackers.
They showed the episode featuring The Toy, and then they brought out a little kit for us to make it. Chris schnuckered someone else's mom to help him out before I could get to him.

Then we had a little lunch, and the kids got to play in the play area for a bit.

It was a lot of Fun! And it wore the boys out. Chris thought he didn't need a nap on the way home, he told me he wanted to do Quiet Time and have Perry do it with him. I thought that was a great idea, because obviously a cardboard box is a quiet toy. It does Nothing! So it must be good for naptime. However, Chris demonstrated that he was Indeed ready for a nap, so no playtime, and I parked Perry by the door. The minute Chris woke up, he informed me that "Perry didn't take a nap either, because Perry the Platypus Does Nothing."
