Things I learned going to Disney World

I'm still in the process of going through our photos, but I think I can come up with a few things to say about our Amazing Trip.

1. I didn't think it could be done, but apparently I CAN go 6 whole days without internet access. We packed our laptop thinking I'd post from FL (even though it was going to cost an extra $10/day to do so), but when we unpacked it Monday, I discovered that my laptop screen had shattered.

2. Eric can also go 6 whole days without internet. That was downright refreshing! He even ignored the 1 phone call from work he got! I was so proud.

3. It's Handy when everyone in your party wears the same shirt. The employees automatically know that you're all together for a special occasion, people move out of the way for All of You, not just cutting off half the group. And when you do get separated, you're easy to Spot!

4.Disney is Magical! I thought it was awesome going as a teenager, and even moreso as an adult, but going with my kids, that just kicked awesomeness up a notch!

5. When Mickey brings smiles to kids faces, and brings tears to parent's eyes, Minnie is right there to wipe them.

6. Strangers in Disney World are as nice as Hoosiers! We got help from random strangers all over that place, the sweetness, compassion, understanding, sympathy, the people really are magical there. See above! To describe it may have to be a post of it's own.

7. Naps are not just required for the kids, but also for the Mommy.

8. I need a vacation to recover from my vacation. My body can only take 5 days of Park festivity. That 6th day was Killer! Dude, I hurt. I'm glad we opted to return Friday, and not schedule anything for the next few days to just rest and recover, and be flexible. (Though we did feel moved to do a bit of Celebrating today of Eric's birthday, Happy Birthday Eric!)

9. A crappy day in Disney World is still a good day! This became our mantra. When the kids were melting down, or we'd get bad service, it was still true. It took on some variations.

10. A rainy day in Disney World is still better than a sunny day in the office.

I am so glad that you got your "magical" trip! I am glad you had the same great experience that we have had on the times we have gone. I hope the awesome memories stay with you for a long long time!
